Foxfire has two main entrances into the gated community on both Radio Road and Davis Boulevard, resting between Santa Barbara Boulevard and Airport Pulling Road South in the ever-expanding city of Naples, Florida. The Foxfire Golf and Country Club has gone back quite a few years to 1982, when the idea was first conceived to build out approximately three-hundred and twenty acres of land and house a total of nine-hundred and twenty-five residences. Foxfire Golf and Country Club was quickly gaining momentum and sold out two years earlier than expected and has since then maintained close to full occupancy. In 1995, Foxfire built out an additional nine golf course holes and added a few more homesites, totaling twenty-seven holes expanding the community acreage to three-hundred and eighty-five acres and homesites to nine-hundred and thirty one.
The Foxfire Golf and Country Club golf course is divided amongst three playable courses, the Blue Course, the Red Course, and the Silver Course. The course was designed by the world famous architect, Arthur Hills, back at the creation of the Foxfire Golf and Country Club community and was recently renovated in late 2013. The renovation included enhancing the aesthetics of the fairways, improve the playing of the course, and restore the course through the process of re-grating the greens, rebuilding the bunkers, and adding tee boxes. One thing to note to future home buyers is that the community offers equity membership, with no initiation fees and the price of membership already included in the price of the home purchase.
The homes in this well-established community are split into sub-divisions including Fox Club, Fox Glen, Fox Haven, Fox Hollow, Foxfire, Foxfire Villas, Foxmoor, and Foxwood. These sub-divisions offer convenient satellite pools within themselves with the option of choosing to head over the community clubhouse. The clubhouse is located roughly in the middle of the association and offers it’s guests a state-of-the-art fitness center complete with free weights with lighted tennis courts surrounding the complex and a heated resort-style swimming pool, a dance floor, and a gourmet kitchen that assists in catering to it’s guests in three separate dining rooms. The Main Dining Room can seat up to three hundred guests and is mostly used for social events, business functions, or non-member weddings. The Foxlair Grille is an outdoor terrace placed in a casual atmosphere and serves light entrees. The Halfway House is the place to head to for a quick bite, making it ideal for golfers in need of a snack while working on a round.
